It is also known as the Panch Rathas and is a fine historical monument dating back to the seventh century. It was constructed in the South Indian Dravidian style and bears some intricate designs with patterns, carvings, etc that are impressive to observe. Inscriptions and stone tablets are still preserved in these chariot-shaped monoliths that mention the architectural perceptions of the Pallava Dynasty. These structures are presently revered as prominent places of worship, where devotees come to pay their homage to the mighty Pandava warriors.
